Anyway, we're getting ready for what I'm going to call the blizzard (for us, predictions are 25-30 mph winds and 8-14" fluffy snow over about 24 hours). Mama has been outside for about an hour getting ready: putting away the last random yard things, moving the cars into optimal positions, moving the snow equipment from garage to front porch, checking to make sure the snow blower works.
Inside, we had breakfast and are now playing "hotel" a la "Olivia," one of their current favorite shows. In fact, in one episode, Olivia and her friends amuse themselves on a snow day by playing hotel, which is no doubt how we got the idea. So, I've been led up to my room, put in bed, given chocolates, and am actually actively playing by sitting here. I like Olivia.
Otherwise, we're considering a short morning outing, before the snow starts this afternoon (most of the accumulation is tonight and tomorrow, I think) just to get out of the housebound for a bit before being indoors for about 36 hours. Sure, we'll play outside a lot, but we won't be going anywhere. Which idea is making Mama already a bit stir crazy.
