Live Blogging the Blizzard, Continued

It's not here yet but we came home from our outing anyway. We went to Norwalk Aquarium this morning, enjoying the penguins, otters, and sharks. Perhaps the best part was the feeding of the seals, who waved, splashed, spun around, and were otherwise quite enthusiastic about being fed (two of the seals are from the Shedd in Chicago, where I think they do seal shows, which Norwalk doesn't do really). The kids each bought art kits with little aquatic animals to pain, including a penguin, turtle, dolphin, and shark (they're painting right now--Sis wants hers to look just like the picture on the box; Bud is more free-flowing with his colors). Then we went to lunch and drew all the animals we'd seen this morning.

And just as I started to type, white stuff started to fall from the sky. It looks round, more like hail than snow, but probably marks the beginning of the storm for us, though it seems to be intermittent. The kids are ready to go out and play NOW, forgetting you actually need snow on the ground for snowmen, angels, ice cream, snowball fights. Most of that will have to wait until tomorrow.

But it's coming.
