Roman Holiday

Instead of baking a cake in honor of Aunt Banana's birthday, we held a living room picnic, Roman-style, inspired by something we read in our Magic Tree House book on Pompeii. Yep, we reclined on a beach blanket in the middle of the floor to eat rolls, ham, cheese, sweet potato chips, and fruit salad. I think their favorite part was the lying down! Who cares if it's chilly and cloudy outside, we'll picnic anywhere!
