A Holly, Jolly . . . Veteran's Day??
This morning as we drove my van to the "car doctor" because the hatch back won't stay open at all, Mama and I heard familiar strains from the radio . . . "Have a holly jolly Christmas . . . " How is it possiby time for Christmas carols already? It might be the best time of the year, but, despite the fact that all the stores had decked the halls even before Halloween, it's just not tis the season for carols yet.

Amazing! I agree with you, there should be a complete ban until 1st December except for primary schools.
ReplyDeleteOver here we are celebrating Guy Fawkes night (really 5th November) and the sky is full of rockets, stars and lots of noise. The houses are full of beresk cats and dogs. Tomorrow is Remembrance Day, to commemmorate the dead of two world wars and numerous conflicts since then on 11th November the country comes to a near standstill for 2 minutes. Makes you think.
