Kitty Tails

Mama finally has a cat sleeping on her again. Now, Albus has been well on his way to being a loving lap cat, without actually settling down for any length of time--he purrs a lot, loves to bump heads, kneads my stuffed penguin every night in a sort of meditative way, enjoys a good petting session, meows for attention. But he just rarely stays in one place very long (Hermione will, in spurts, until she hears her brother somewhere). Our beloved Morgan would sleep with Mama every night, usually on her neck or chest, in addition to long lap sessions--he could go for hours without needing to move. And now Albus seems to be settling down, at night anyway. He seems to prefer what the kids would call Mama's "elbow pit," or the crook of her arm (right now, though, he's behind her elbow but still on her side). It doesn't look particularly comfortable for either one of them, but they are both snoring away happily. It's actually a two-cat night, so to speak, with Hermione curled up at the foot of my side, waiting for me to lie down so she can get right into my . . . . ankle pit?

So, if it is creepy to be watched or photographed while you are asleep, what is it like to be blogged?
