Snow Emergency

We're now looking at 12-18" of snow over the next 36 hours.

And what does your average Connecticut suburban mom rush to the store for on the eve of such a blizzard?

Classroom valentines!

I was just at the store and I'd say about 25 moms, kids in tow, were scrounging around the valentine section, desperate to find the perfect box of cards and bag of treats.

But I get it. Tomorrow will be a snow day--NYC has already cancelled classes, which is almost unheard of--and Thursday will be messy. Friday is the day for classroom parties. Now is the time to prepare.

So forget milk and eggs and bread. Go grab that last bag of SweetHearts! It's not too late ( if you're brave and not choosy).
