A Museum Educator's Worst Nightmare

The NYTimes Arts Beat reports:

On Friday afternoon a woman taking an adult education class at the Metropolitan Museum of Art accidentally lost her balance and fell into “The Actor,” a rare Rose PeriodPicasso, tearing the canvas about six inches along its lower right-hand corner.
My own unfortunate gallery experience (though not nearly that unfortunate)with a Picasso involved an upset seeing-eye dog at the AIC who defecated in front of The Old Guitarist! I'm glad I'm not the woman, the educator, or the guard (not their faults, per se, but still no good).

  1. Having looked at The Old Guitarist on Google I can see the dog was unhappy, a young guitarist could have been made to look so vibrant and happy. If you get the chance take a look at Julian Bream when he is playing a 'Classical' guitar. Noe that mad was really enjoying making music for others.
