Pray For [insert name here] Now and at the Time of [insert problem here]

There is an article in the NYTimes today on online intercessionary prayer websites. You log into various websites, type in your problem, and then people note if they have prayed for you. The sites are apparently non-denominational, though the ones covered in the article seem to be predominantly Christian. Interestingly, the Unity Church began an intercessionary prayer phone line in 1907, so this has a long history and is just embracing new technology. The article doesn't delve too deeply into studies about intercessionary prayer--of course, some say it doesn't work, others say it does.
