Can you believe they've issued the last of the state quarters? It's been going on for 10 years! I remember when we started putting them in our special map holder. We couldn't fathom 10 years of collecting quarters. We were in Chicago then. I hadn't finished my dissertation, was barely working on it, but had found my calling in museum work. Mama was at her first post-college job, in a giant company that is gone now. Our move to NYC was still 2+ years off, much less Connecticut and kids. Our first cat, Morgan, hadn't come into our lives yet, though he must have been alive somewhere in NYC by then. And now it's over.
Though, we don't have all of them yet. We're missing four. But there won't be any new ones.
