Advent: Christmas in the City

. . . was today. But we're exhausted. I'll post later on:
  • this year's tree at Rockefeller Center
  • the Zamboni
  • Teuscher chocolates
  • Salvation Army tuba player
  • Metropolitan Museum of Art bookstore
  • St. Patrick's Cathedral nativity and pipe organ
  • Train at Citigroup Cener--its final year
  • "Mippy" statues
  • the bus
  • FAO Schwartz--bears, hippos, and penguins. Oh, my!
  • 5th Avenue--parade of Santas??
  • lunch at Virgil's
  • Times Square, my old neighborhood
  • Crumbs cupcakes
  • NYPL--Beedle the Bard, the original manuscript
  • taxi cabs
  • horse-drawn carriages in Central Park
  • the BIGGEST moon ever
plus, among other things, in this post or others:
  • my birthday playgroup, pinatas, and purple frosting
  • kids' party at Mama's office and Frosty's sneakers
  • decorating the church for the holidays
Finally, in case I don't talk to her, a bon voyage to Miss T, who heads to Korea for her brother's wedding.
And a get well soon to Mama Teacher.
