Rise Up: Granola Type

Even though my bread pledge is over, I'm still experimenting with new bread recipes as I continue to bake almost all of our family's bread (yep, we made monkey bread again with refrigerated biscuit dough!). I made this Granola Bread before our vacation and really enjoyed it, even though I wish that I had chosen a granola with less oats and more fillings like nuts, seeds, and dried fruits, because I didn't get a great sense of the granola (the oats just melt into the bread). Maybe I'll make my own granola next time (if I can find Goo's favorite granola recipe somewhere). But, even so, I liked it.

-=-=-=-=-=

Granola Bread
1 1/8 cups buttermilk (or buttermilk powder and water)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons honey
2 1/8 cups bread flour
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/4 cup granola
1 tablespoon gluten
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 1/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast

Place all ingredients in the pan according to the manufacturer's instructions. Set crust on medium and program for Basic; press Start. (do not use delay timer)

When baking ends, remove immediately from pan and cool on a rack before slicing.
