Eating Tips from the Kids

All I Ever Needed to Know About Good Eating Habits, I Learned from

Sis:
  • take small bites
  • take your time
  • only eat what you like
  • ask for what you want
  • give away what you don't like if someone else does like it
Bud:
  • eat with enthusiasm
  • fruit is always a good option
  • stop when you're done

Plus, Tips They Could Learn from Me:
  • Use your napkin not the underside of the table
  • Don't chew something, spit it out, and try to give it away
  • It's okay if you leave things you don't like on your plate--it doesn't mean you have to eat them (i.e. you don't have to try to give it away or hop up to throw it out every 10 seconds)
  • Eat your colors (and, no, shades of brown don't count more than once!)
  • "Please" and "thank you"
  • Beans won't kill you
