And so, we stayed outside after our playdate of trike rides, chalk pictures, sliding and swinging, and a nature walk came to an end. The kids were circling the safety cones in an obstacle course, pedaling as fast as they could, then tried a variety of tricks such as riding without feet on the pedals, sitting on the top step, pedaling with hands, and standing on the steps with one leg out. Thank goodness for helmets!
Funny, the kids wore their helmets for the whole playdate, which was just as well as I accidentally clocked Bud on the head numerous times playing catch and he and Sis ran into each other at least once. Maybe they should wear helmets all the time! (Yes, I'm kidding!)
We came in around 5:45, had dinner, and are now enjoying a bath to clean off all the fun of the beautiful day.
