Taking the Cake: The Glue that Binds

Wow, royal icing, even in a bottle, is an amazing substance. Dries like cement. Which is perfect for what I needed: to glue lollipop sticks to the backs of bunnies and dinosaurs. I bent/cut the sticks in half, positioned them in the middle of each cookie (and supported by the other cookies so the sticks didn't just fall off), then slathered the whole thing with two coats of royal icing, making sure there was icing all over the sticks.

And it worked. Those sticks aren't going anywhere.
