Today is reuse day in our Advent cycle: we started making a whole holiday village out of discarded boxes--happy meal, drink cartons, tea bag boxes, a box of Belgian chocolates, whatever I had in the house (yes, I know, this option wasn't on my original list; we're adapting it as we go). I made a New England salt box, complete with wreath on the door and candles in the window, out of an empty coffee pod box. Bud decorated the chocolate candy box as a gingerbread house. Sis is still working on how to decorate her happy-meal-turned-church. Still to come, we're hoping Mama takes her turn at turning a creamer cartoon into a lighthouse!
