Instead, we had a Jedi Christmas.
The kids spent the better part of the afternoon wrapping existing toys and books in blankets and such to stash under the tree. For Wicket and Obi-Wan, Luke and Leia, even Jabba and Vader. There was a new bow for Wicket, a belt and sword for Obi,"a ring of force for Luke," books on the galaxy for Leia, etc etc etc. And when all the presents were unwrapped, we started all over again.
So, I took the opportunity to practice another thing on our Advent list: how to receive a gift gracefully and gratefully, even one you might have or not like. All it takes is "thank you."
I imagine that Vader would have a different response, though.
