My Day, Continued

Everything went pretty much as planned in the last post, except we ate a little late and the egg hunt was after rest . . .

12:30  We eat.  Sis loved her rolls; Bud loved his mac and cheese.  The noodle souffle was delightful.  And everyone scarfed the green bean casserole.

1:30  We rest.  Goo and I nap while the kids watch tv; Ma, Gong, and Mama clean the kitchen.

2:30  Rest time is over--time for dessert.  The ambrosia jello mold is very popular, followed closely by the carrot cake.

3:00  Let's do our Chinese homework together!  Ma and Gong help Bud and Sis make their "shape houses" with squares, triangles, circles, and stars, based on a book we read in class about a zebra who liked to draw.

3:30 It's egg hunt time!  (It's a practice for the egg hunt tomorrow).  They hadn't even noticed that the eggs had been around since rest time.  But once they did--watch out!  At some point, Bud stopped to count his and then pretty much gave all the eggs he found after that too Sis.  We got to practice our "hotter-colder" game.

5:00 Exhaustion seeps in.  We start wrapping up the day, with cleaning up and a little something to eat.

5:30  Put carrots, dyed eggs, and empty baskets on the porch for the Bunny.  Kiss Ma, Gong, and Goo goodbye.

6:30  In bed.  Asleep.  Mama and I finish cleaning up from the day and grab a bite to eat for ourselves.  The cardamom bread is gone.

8:00  Time to be the bunny.

9:00  We're heading to bath and bed too.

9:30  Good night and happy Easter to all!
