We're Home

The power was turned back on around 4 a.m. (when we called to check, it was in the record). And so we came home. Picked up the cats, cleaned out the refrigerator by throwing away so much food and washing everything down, and tried to control the chaos created by our hasty departure and the neglect while we were away. We had lunch at a restaurant, napped the kids in the car, and then came home for good.

It's great to be home, even if I was nervous standing in the spot where I watched the sky turn green and the hail pummel the house. More on the whole experience soon . . . . first, we need to spend some good, quality family time at home together.
