Just in case you aren't keeping track, the kiddos start preschool in exactly four weeks today. Sure, that first day is only an hour of visiting, with us in tow, but it counts because we'll have all of our new clothes, shoes, haircuts, and supplies, including snack/lunch box and waterbottle. Then they go a half day (1 1/2 hours) the next time, I think, and then, exactly five weeks from today, we all fly solo for 2 hours and 45 minutes.
And just in case I was actually successful in forgetting for awhile that it is coming, every magazine I subscribe to is touting "back-to-school" articles--food, clothes, crafts, rituals. Today alone, I got two! Of course, I'll read them . . .
. . . and weep.
