I saw my specialist in Manhattan today and he is still optimistic about my getting back to "normal" (mind you, that's normal for me!) by the end of June, but that means bedrest through Memorial Day. I will, however, be doing some walking in the pool 3 times a week (once we figure out those logistics), and then upping my walking on the other days to 10 minutes 4 times a day. If this doesn't work and there are still muscle spasms or weakness by Memorial Day, I'll have an MRI and epidural. If it gets worse with the increased exercise, we'll do the epidural earlier. So, let's hope for improvement! But I do feel better already, even more than last week.
