Sis has finished all seven Harry Potter books! That's 3,363 pages, the majority of which she read in July. Wow! We are so proud of her reading ability, her persistence, and her interest. Sure, I'm sure there are things she didn't understand, but she is absolutely enthralled by the stories and the world. The deaths affected her less than I suspected; maybe that's why fairytales are for kids--they just see them differently. She's even already started re-reading them, beginning with book 2, I think. And she and Bud were building HP sets for their own original Lego Harry Potter movie. I love that their imaginations are running with it. Still, I think it's a bittersweet thing to have finished the whole set--it's never like the first time. But maybe kids see that differently, too.
