There's No Accounting For Taste

Bananas? No.

Potatoes? Nope.

Beans? No way.

Octopus? Yummy!

Bud ate his way through a sushi tasting today, actually at Sis's encouragement (though she didn't get quite as far), during our celebratory Japanese lunch (and I can't yet bring myself to write either about our kindergarten visitation or last day of our beloved preschool). And he loved it! The vinegary rice, the nori wrap, the shrimp, the fake crab, the octopus--everything but the last piece, which had teensy orange fish roe. Maybe next time. Especially because he wants to do try it again soon.

Is there bean sushi?

  1. Must be something to do with is Oriental genes. Now I like whale meat but Madam has always refused to buy it so I have been without it for nearly 60 years. Perhaps I have Norse genes.
