Cat-egories

Apparently, according to the kiddos, there are two kinds of cats: follow-the-rules cats and not-follow-the-rules cats.

Right now, our cats are in the latter category, namely because they a). eat no food items like plastic bags, tissue paper, and tape and b). try to get in places they shouldn't go (like the bathroom cabinet, basement storage area, and outside).

Our previous cat, Morgan, was definitely one of the former. Mainly because he napped or sat in laps or ate most of the day. Not a bad life. Bud, who I'd told about my childhood cat Hopalong Cassidy, remembered and said she wasn't a rules-cat, mainly because she went out into the street (where she was killed).

Finally, this morning, Sis proudly announced that she was a follow-the-rules girl. Definitely true. And she likes everyone around her to follow the rules, too. If you don't, you're gonna hear about it. Or I am.

If only our cats were as smart as Sis!
