My Smart Heart

"Mommy, is this the restaurant that has a chili on it's sign?" Sis asked me as we headed off to eat dinner at the babysitter's other job.

"Yes, sweet pea. What a good memory! You are so smart."

"I have the smartest heart in the world."

Yes, you do.

"Mommy, is your heart where you think?"

"Sure, hon, or your mind."

"Then I have the smartest mind in the world, too."

    I'm told that in Japanese there is a word "shin" that refers to heart/mind as one thing. Truly, where and how is there a difference?
