It's Yellow! It's Brown! It's Grass!!!
After about 6 weeks of snow and ice on the ground, we've had a major thaw--it's been over 50F today!!!!! And we can see the earth! It really is a wonderful sight. I think the snow was making me a little claustrophobic, in the sense that I could only easily trod on our sidewalk and bits of our driveway. But now I can wander across the whole yard, even if it is a wet, puddly, soggy, spongy, muddy mess.

Mid-day, temperature 4 and we are expecting a snow dump to-night of about 100 mm, enough to bury the snow drops.
