Catching Up

Actually, I'm not going to catch up tonight. The kids have been getting over a 24-hour cold--sniffles but no fever--but I'm in the throes of it. We will have snow tomorrow, may or may not have a snow day, so no telling when I'll have a nice, long, thoughtful post. But I'm always thinking, right now on:

  • Women's health, and why we don't take care of ourselves (I'm "breaking up" with my GP and having trouble getting positive references to a new doctor)
  • Moms, dads, and anger (from Motherlode and Parenting.com): It's not just for straight couples any more. I'm behind in my blog reading and am still digesting this one.
  • Mama and I are starting our own book club. First up, probably Kingsolver's The Bean Trees (I know, I can't believe I haven't read this either).
  • Those octuplets: religion, reproduction, and multiples. Though, maybe I shouldn't start that.
  • The Winter of Our Content, or how winter is a place. And I can't for the life of me find the essay in the NYTimes that evocatively talked about that. (I found it!)

I'm losing battery, figuratively and literally. Good night.
