It's Raining, It's Pouring

At 4:15 on the dot, after two whole days of 90F temperatures, the sky that had been increasingly cloudy broke open with huge raindrops, giant claps of thunder, and bright, sharp lightening.

Just like home. I miss those Texas thunderstorms.

It also made me hungry for a shrimp po-boy--it rained everyday at 4 when we were in New Orleans.

I can also hear "It's a Small, Small World" because it rains like this in Orlando too.

Ar-Ma tells me it rains like this in Thailand but that the pollution is so high that the first few minutes of rain create a toxic mist sending everyone inside. Luckily, it's not that bad here. Yet.

I love rain. And the kids (asleep in the car) slept right through it all . . .
