"I Have the Smartest Brain in the Family"

She had remembered, correctly, that the man from church who worked at the restaurant where we were eating today--though we didn't even actually see him because he works the dinner shift--had once written "pineapple cake" upside-down on a notecard to accompany his wife's dish at a potluck a year ago.

And I said she had a great memory.

Hence the title here, which was her reply.

Bud declared that he had smart brains too, because he came up with all the art ideas (his current craze is making marionettes--today he made 5 paper dinosaur marionettes, complete with strings, and put on a show).

And I was told that I knew everything.

Gosh, I love these kids.
