A Spring Bouquet for You

It's magic! Change white carnations (or daisies) to any color you choose, while learning about how flowers "work," by

1. cutting the stems at an angle;
2. immersing the stems in glasses of water colored with your chosen dyes (I've read you can split the stem and put each half in a different color for a funky two-tone effect);
3. our florist said to add hot water to the glasses once the tints appear on the petals to color them faster (this did not work);
4. wait 24 hours and you'll have lightly-tinted, colored carnations.
