We went to Mama Teacher's son CJ's birthday party over the weekend and had a great time seeing the model trains, which the kiddos love even after several visits, as well as doing all the party activities. Their favorite part? Decorating their own piece of birthday cake, one of several train cars from a special pan that mom of the birthday boy had. Bud even decorated his twice, having eaten all the candy off the first run through! Sis was more protective of her design, only eating some of it later--and only then by flipping the little train cake on its back and eating out the bottom!! They also loved decorating pink and blue visors and stringing bead necklaces (which I enjoyed too, braiding together several colors to make a rope, maybe for keys or something. Who cares, I just like the colors!). Finally, as we rode home in the car, with the kids perusing their goodie bags, I hear from the backseat, "I am a lucky boy to get all this stuff from the birthday!" Mama Teacher had packed dinosaur stencils (Sis got cats and bunnies!) and candy and bubbles into the bag. Wow! Hope CJ had as much fun as we did!
