TGIWB?

Yep, it's winter break. And while we've had breaks literally for winter, we desperately need one from winter. But, having missed something like nine days of school because of weather, we hardly need a break from school. In fact, this was the first week since the third week of December that both of my kids have been in school for five days. And now they're going to be home for a week? I'll tell you who needs a break! But we'll make the most of it, wearing pjs all day, having backwards meals and breakfast for dinner, watching our favorite movies, reading books, playing in the rapidly disappearing snow (about which Bud is sad), making arts and crafts, whatever we can think of (even if I feel like I used my best ideas to get through all the snow days). Still, another week of school, just to get the hang of it again (for all of us--I forget to have them do their homework packet this week!), wouldn't have been unwelcome. Well, to me, anyway. Because what kid isn't always ready for a vacation? We just have different definitions of what that is sometimes. So that will be my goal this week: making it fun for all of us.
