A Poem A Day

. . . Keeps the doldrums at bay.

Perhaps . . . so, in celebration of National Poetry Month, we've just decided to read a poem everyday, at dinnertime.

But we got started early with "Jabberwocky."

Because who can resist "slithy toves?"

We'll have to get Pop to perform his ode to seabirds, "What a peculiar bird is a Peli-can!/His beak can hold more than his belly can!"

What are your favorite poems?

    very difficult question.
mostly mary oliver, wendell berry and nearly anything in Cries of the Spirit.

    poetry is my refuge.
