Yep, it's the after-effects of the 4-day holiday weekend. I spent most of the day catching up on my various activities, mainly Girl Scouts and the historic house today.
In fact the historic house is moving along swimmingly: we have a party later this week and a program this weekend, as well as a lecture I'm giving in a week or so. AND today we found out from the assistant superintendent that we can move ahead with our teen docent program. We'll be meeting next week about more details. I'm very excited about this.
Otherwise, the kids were very draggy this morning, as was I. It didn't help that it was very dark at wake-up because of the overcast weather. But they managed to get out of the house, as did I. I am escorting Mama Teacher's son to school for the foreseeable future because his dad has injured his leg and can't walk. It's the least I can do--and the way this kiddo walks so fast, it's good exercise!
I also did the grocery shopping, because of course after all of that cooking and eating there was nothing left over for this week.
And I talked to Gommie and Pop, who had a lovely time with Aunt Banana et al, and are heading to see Aunt Sis at the nursing home tomorrow (she has been transferred from the hospital to rehab.) Then they have a family Christmas gathering--must be 35th or something this year!--this weekend.
That's not even all of the day, but it is the most interesting points.
And no Advent calendar yet . . . .
