- my evening ramble with the kids down to "Goose Poop" park, where they played on the playground while I watched the ducks on the pond;
- Sis's courage and curiosity in taking on the new challenge of ice skating;
- the right to vote, which came in my grandmother's lifetime. She was 20 when she got the vote, but, because I was young when she died, I never thought to ask her about it.
