When I was 69 I decided I wanted to walk down into the Grand Canyon on my 70th Birthday and come out the next day. By the time I was 69 1/2 I realised it was impracticable and probably suicidal so I walked the length of the Itchen Canal intending to walk back the same day but I damaged myself part way and only did 17 miles instead of 24. Go on, do something that will stretch you and you can look back on it with pleasure when you are my age. Willy nilly have a nice day and remember you are living on borrowed time so each day is worth at least ddoouubbllee what it was yesterday.
