Number by Colors

Sis loves to organize things, as I think I've noted before. Right now, colors are her favorite common denominator. For example, she likes her plates, cups, and bowls to match, or at least be in the same color family. But more extreme, I found her organizing M&Ms by color the other day. We were putting them in Rice Krispie treats and I turned around and found a line of oranges, a line of reds, and so on. And that's not the only time it's happened: this morning, she picked flowers by color--first, the purple wild violets and then the white wild violets and then on to the yellow dandelions. She's partial to green and to purple but will organize by color regardless. Even when she's coloring. We were decorating a card for a woman at church and she pulled out all the shades of blue in the box and lined them up. I'd love to say she'd lined them up from darkest to lightest, but she didn't.

Yet.

(I was partial--and still am--to the rainbow. And no, it's not just a gay thing. I've loved rainbows for years. And didn't know the symbolism.)
