All's Well That Ends Well

Bud's staple is gone.

He was very good about waiting (quite a long time), distracted by a new sticker book with trains and by the books at the office. Even in the exam room, he did his usual thing, which is drum on the walls and furniture with those wooden throat sticks. He only started to get a little apprehensive when the doctor and the nurse showed up (together, ready for action). But it was over pretty fast. He was actually much more upset about the cream the doctor put on it after the fact than about the removal of the staple with a little plier-like tool. Sis, who had been excited about the whole removal-thing from the beginning, carefully watched and then was intrigued by the staple afterwards: "It looks like an 'N'."

Bud's reaction, as he hopped off my lap and grabbed my hand: "We're leaving now. Let's go get my sticker."

Yep, it's a real head again, folks.
