Check out this article in the NYTimes about the new atheist bus campaign in London. I'm not sure that would fly here, where I still see billboards from the Catholic Church looking to recruit priests.
Can you imagine an American politician's spokesman, when asked about the politician's religion, quipping "We don't do God," as Tony Blair's did? I can't fathom being in a country where politicians downplay their religion. Would have saved us all that drama about Obama's pastor. And then, maybe Shrub wouldn't have been elected . . . .
