ISO: Inspiration

I'm looking for some poems or readings I can share with my hospice patient, who is not chatty but likes to be read (and sung) to. What are your favorites? Main criteria--they must be easy to read outloud and be understood. They need not be about death but can be. Just leave the author/poet and title and I'll track them down. This particular patient is Catholic--do you have favorite verses or prayers? My last patient was Jewish so, for my collection, I welcome prayers or readings from all faiths. Thanks for helping me out!

  1. I really have enjoyed Mary Oliver's poems. I recently discovered her and she has a new book out. Check my goodreads recently read. If you can't see them let me know and I'll send you a list.
